In fact, the sheer amount of things you can do in Skyrim VR with mods is astounding.

This is how modders autonomously keep Skyrim fresh and interesting over time, despite the game having originally released in late 2011. Mods are defined as any user-created add-on module that replaces or extends existing content in the game. If you’re new to all this “mod” talk, here’s the laydown: If you aren’t already aware, the PC version of Skyrim VR is built on top of a slightly older Skyrim: Special Edition client, meaning that many Skyrim: SE mods are compatible with Skyrim VR out of the box. So far I've not felt the need for an ENB, though I might see if I can find one like Subtle ENB for Fallout 4.The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, by Bethesda Softworks, is arguably one of the most accomplished role-playing games of all time. In the end, I'm pretty happy with this combination, though I find nights are still a bit too bright. If there were options to use different filters for interiors and exteriors, I'd probably use bleak outside. I really like Obsidians bleak filter, but it can make interior fires bloom really badly. I find it adds some contast to the game, and quashes some of the bloom in the game.

The realistic filter seems to play well with ELFX. I also discovered that Obsidian Weathers has a built in set of filters which apply both inside and outside. Rather than screw around with the master I just have the enhancer module loaded before hardcore, with the brighter lights fix loaded after. Of course, it's for the enhancer module, and I use hardcore. My solution has been 'ELFX Enhanced Brighter Lights' which so far as I can just fixes the colour balance. The SE version of ELFX has a nasty tendency to make it look like your wearing sunglasses inside, with fires in particular looking very dim. My experience so far is that I liked the LE version of ELFX more. I started with ELFX weathers too, but it was really overpowering during the day, so I swapped it out for Obsidian Weathers which I took a more immediate liking too. I'm not sure that I couldn't do better, but ELFX was my hands down favourite in oldrim so I just went with it. I'm currently using ELFX + hardcore, ELFX Enhanced Brighter Lights, and Obsidian Weathers.
